I have just arrived in Köln and I am looking for good spots to fly in this city. I live on the west-side (Mülheim/Buchheim). I have read the "Marsdof" location, but it seems to be far from my house�

I am currently learning German, so if they are guys speaking english that can help me to practising, it will be good

Just one thing to your residence here at cologne. Unfortunately the complete right-rhine-side of cologne is under control FL0 of cgn (cologne airport). In the fact of that, modelflying without certain permission is not allowed in this area. The spot at Marsdorf is imho one of the best spots here at cologne. In this thread you can get date and time someone is flying at Marsdorf.

I have noticed there are so many airlines planes flying just above my head, but not realized that the area can be forbidden for our hobbyâ?¦ it's logic!

I will try to meet you at Marsdorf. First I need a german GPS to find the place and be able to come back home How many are you to fly there? Can you provide me a link with the exact place in this district?

How do you fly at winter?
In France in my club we have a gymnasium to practice heli indoor. It's good to keep skills during the cold season and better than the simulatorâ?¦

Quite different. From 2 up to 10 pilots.

How do you fly at winter?

Still flying outdoor. Afaik, in cologne there's actual no sports hall for indoor flying available.
