My upgrades arrived today. They are all installed now, but there were some issues with them that I'll tell you about.

First, the fit between the first stage pulley and the second stage pinion isnt good enough. Its slightly too loose, so when you tighten the pin, the pulley goes crooked. My fix for this was to locktite it on, then BEND the pulley into a straight position. I'm happy with it now (its perfect), but if it didn't work I would have been extremely pissed.

Second, the new motor mount doesn't raise the motor enough. The belt is right on the very lower edge of the first stage pulley. I left that as is because I don't care.

Third, the new second stage pinion isn't high enough, so the belt is too low on the main pulley. I fixed this by raising the pinion with a shim (trex 450 feathering shaft shims are perfect for this), and then added four under the motor mount. The result is perfect belt alignment.

The new tail pulley went straight in without mods, but the belt isn't perfectly centred like it was with the plastic pulley.

Despite all the mods I needed to get it how I wanted, its a much smoother heli now. Very happy. Just remember, if you need to shim your motor mount and second stage pinion, use trex 450 feathering shaft shims!!!

today we prepared for you KDS GT2 BELT UPGRADE. 1st and 2nd batch of Chase 360 have problem with incorrect type of belt. Its problem of KDS factory, but we want to tell you that we are very sorry for troubles, which is caused by this. KDS offered to all customers who bought Chase 50% discount for this upgrade. But our opinion is, that is not fair play, if guys bought 3rd batch with all fixed problem and guys who wait for pre-ordered 1st and 2nd batch must pay. So We want to do best service for our ( Startseite - RC-Heli Community ) we will send this upgrade FREE FOR YOU on monday. You cannot do nothing, Only wait your postman for Air Mail from Czech Republic. :-)

We shipped two types of upgrade. There is small different between motor block from 1st and 2nd batch. All customers from 1st batch will get from us motor block free too.

Upgrade contains:
1st batch CHASE:
- GT2 7.5mm belt
- aluminium GT2 first reduction gear
- moto pinion GT2, 7.5mm
- motor block

2nd batch CHASE:
- GT2 7.5mm belt
- aluminium GT2 first reduction gear
- moto pinion GT2, 7.5mm

Once more thank you for yours order and now I really wish, that you enjoy your CHASE 360 as much as can !!!

Die GT2 Teile sind heute angekommen, allerdings sehe ich z.Z. noch keinen Sinn sie
einzubauen, weil ich selbst nach knapp 80 Flügen keinen erhöhten Abrieb feststellen kann.

Hallo Leute, da ich wahrscheinlich bald auch Besitzer eines KDS Helis bin, wollte ich euch mal fragen ob einer den Shop www.agile-helicopter.cz kennt und eventuell schon Erfahrungen damit gemacht hat. Ich wollte dort einen Motor bestellen.

Ich kenne den Shop nicht, da ich noch nix mit KDS-Helis zu tun hatte. Gibt es da irgendwelche Probleme mit Zoll oder so?
