What main headspeed are you running (1250rpm, 1300rpm, etc)? Also what fan speed do you think you are running (35000rpm, etc)? Do you think this fan setup would work

i think this fan would be a good choice.
Its enough power.
my Fan works with 1200 KV with 12S and it runs only 50 percent on ESC.

But you have to do a lot of testflights with a co-pilot to handle the rotary knob ESC (transmitter) to find the right fan-rpm.

2) How do you have your two ESC's connected? Are they on a Y-connection to your throttle channel?

Great build.
Just wondering if you are using slant main gear or straight cut main gear. If you are using the slant gear is there any problems changing the direction from RH rotation to LH rotation?

If you are using a Scorpion 450 Kv motor, what size pinion and main gear are you using?

the slant main gear version works very wenn in LH rotation for 30 flights now.
it´s the standard main gear 112 T.

Yes, I just received the Vario 520 N fuselage. I am in the process of getting the mechanics ready but was unsure about being able to run the Slant gear in the LH rotation. Thank you for confirming that it can run in the LH rotation.

ich habe seit Jahren die große in Betrieb.

Pahl Mechanik modifiziert und auf elektro umgebaut, mit großen 5 Blatt (200 cm Rotorkreis).

sorry fürs schlechte Video und das den Filmer auch noch zu lange dauerte nach 5 min hat er die Lust verloren , ich fliege meistens 10 min.

combined to 12S -10000mah. Same in my MD 900.

ich fliege die die große mit der Serienmäßigen Pahl Turbinenmechanik, umgebaut auf Zahnriemen in der ersten Stufe und Elektroantrieb.

Als Antrieb verwende ich einen Plettenberg Terminator 30-6 und als Regler einen Jeti Master Spin 200 Akkus sind 10 S 2x 5000mah oder 2x 5800 mah also gesamt 10000 oder 11600 mah.
Leistung mehr als genügend und mit den großen Packs habe ich Flugzeiten von knapp 10 min.
Rotorkreis ist genau 200 cm.

Interessant die Modelle groß und klein nehmen sich von der Flugzeit und Stromaufnahme nichts,
Hauptfaktor ist das Gebläse.

Thank you both for the responses. I am almost ready to start my build. I have the fuselage, servos, mechanics, rotor head, gyro, etc, etc, etc. Basically everything except my ESCs and the EDF unit. I'm really excited about starting it. I'm going for the same build as Topknut2.

Topknut2 I did want ask what "C" rating lipo packs you recommend? I currently have Turnigy 6S 5000mah 25C-50C but not sure if I need to go up on the "C" rating. What do you think? Also can I get a clear photo of how your batteries connect?
