    CH-53 model

Hello. I am sorry, I do not speak German. Can someone who speaks English help put me in touch with builders who have made flying models of the CH-53 or MH-53? I am building one made from Vario mechanics, and I need some help. My email address is gmcnair@charter.net if you would like to contact me directly.

    Thank you!

    Hi Greg,
    welcome on board here.
I visited your MH-53 pages quite some time and the flightliner board.

I've seen quite some flying models of the CH-53 on various fun-flys here, but I personally don't know the names of the builders.

But I know that Michale Behrens of this board has a page where he and his frinds shows their model and there are some pictures of CH-53.

Try this page and contact Michael, maybe he can bring you in contact with the builders.

The other source might be the well known Elliot. Try if he can arrange a contact to the builders.
The fuselages are, as far as I know, made by Heinz Hoffmann (OF-Helitechnik).
Here are some of the pictures I made on the Aldingen fun-fly this year.

Thank you for the reply Andi. David McGirt, the owner of this heli, has asked me to complete the mechanical setup for him, which includes building a flying wooden board to replicate the approximate dimensions of the fuselage. The mechanics and fuselage were obtained through Lars/Elliot, and he emailed me last night. I was hoping to find others who may have built this identical kit and had photos to share of their mechanical setup in completed form. Apparently this will be the second flying model using these mechanics, Lars being the builder of the first. I have quite a bit of work ahead of me to be sure!

You may have me confused with the owner David McGirt. He is the owner, and he has a webpage www.mcgirt.net which shows some photos. I am Greg McNair, and I moderate the www.flightlines.com scale helicopter forum. My photo pages can be found here: Greg's Gallery

I did visit the link showing what I think is an electric 53, but the Aldingen funfly link didn't work.

      Thanks!

        Hi Greg,
your right, I mixed it up. Sorry for that.

Your right again, he build that one using electric power.

But give it a shot, Michael is member of the flightliner board as well, maybe he can give you the names of the other builders.

The FRH mechaics are quite common here. For my part I use that fine pice of engineering in my Mi-24 and some other friends in their scale machines as well.

but the Aldingen funfly link didn't work
Funny, I tried it and it works.
