    Hello Ferry,

it's best when you use the original plastic tail blades. You can purchase them from Henseleit Helicopters.

When you use carbon tail blades you get the described vibrations. Of course, these behaviour is not specific to the Three Dee construction.

    All the best,
    Klaus

The Radix 95 and 105 will perform very well and are a kind of soft carbon blades not to stiff like pure carbon...

Most important is to have the tail upgrade with the continuous shaft...

An "upgrade" to the RIGID tailbladeholders may be another option.

eeeh , so i got the sab 95 mm at the rear , and maniac's 703 at the front , that is 793 [ !]
i changed the blades back to the original ones , flies just as well to be honest :]
what is that modification you guys talk about ? i hear things about that the mp's before a certain date cannot have other blades becouse of hazard of breaking tailbolts ?

my mp-xl-v91 is from the februari 2008 batch , so that is an upgraded version or something ?
i dropped jan an e mail , but he will be very very busy i think :]

Probably in the netherlands you are calculating different (after a couple of joints I'd do it the same way) but here in Germany it would be about 798 mm.

But nevermind is works also fine, I had that combination on my XL. First the maniacs with the original KS plastics in 95. After a great inspiration I changed these against 102 mm carbon MAHs and after a bunch of flights I tried to fly with just one blade at the tail. No surprise, that this doesn't work fine

But also these longer blades didn't cause any length - problem in combination with the maniacs (in Germany again it was about 805 mm overall)

After that incident I changed to the tailupgrade and now it works with the MAHs 102 or V - Blades in 95 together with funtechs in 690 mm (btw. try these - you'll never take maniacs again) quite perfect. A lot better than with the plastic stuff without having vibrations coming from the tail. Just take care, that you use perfect balanced ones when you mount carbon blades on the tail.

                  Ingo

haha , yeah i miscalculated there , no drugs where involved :]
i saw that a lot of people changed from mainblades on a mp xl lately , a year ago almost all the mp xl flyers where using maniac's , and nowadays hardly anyone .
i might change it aswell just for a try .
also , what is the reason people use smaller mainblades like 690 ? just so they can get bigger tailblades or has it got to do with flight caractaristics aswell ?
i am curious if i can feel any differance , i am only a mild 3d flyer and the first thing that needs upgrading is my skills :] [working on it]
                    cheers and thanks guys .
                    regards ferry
