Hi what do you think is this a good setup?

NHP 60 cm carbon blades
Futaba GY401 Gyro
JR R900s Receiver
1500 mAh Nmh receiver battery
1 Voltz SpeedMax XP digital servo (rudder)
3 Voltz Micro Max digital servos (Swashplate)
1 Thunderpower LiPo 5S4P 8000mAh with cell balancer

1 Voltz SpeedMax XP digital servo (rudder)

You can forget this servo. I took the Futaba 9254. It works fine. I have mounted the servo directly on the tail boom.

I guess that in the meantime better motors are available (e.g. Actro).

Most of the pilots use a 10S LiPo ...

Rather follow all the recommendations of Jan Henseleit.

Except the following:
With the flight-batteries of today, the tango 45-7 for 10S Lipos gets heat problems with the 11 teeth pinion.
If You are no hardcore pilot, better use a 10 teeth pinion.

If You are a hardcore pilot, better use a bigger motor.

Why do You want to fly with 5S ?
10S 4000mAh is more effective, then 5S 8000mAh.

The receiver should be a PCM type with the option of fail safe settings ( motor off, servos hold ).

Also ich kann dir nur sagen, dass es ein Unterschied wie tausend und eine Nacht ist, wenn man das Servo wechselt. Machen ja ohnehin die meisten am MP-E. Servowechsel und das Servo aufs Heckrohr schnallen (oder wie in meinem Fall den Servohalter vom MP-XL nehmen). Das Volz ist hier einfach fehl am Platz, sorry.

Weisst Du, wieviele MPs verkauft wurden ?
Weisst Du, wieviele davon mit Volz bzw. anderen Servos geflogen werden ?

Ich glaube nicht, dass Du das weisst.

Ich glaube, dass Jan schon etwas schlauer ist, als die meisten User hier und ich glaube, dass sich 90 - 95% seiner Kunden ( u.a. ich ) an seine Vorgaben halten und damit gut bis sehr gut fahren bzw. fliegen.

Was er von den Schlaumeiern hält, die meinen, sie wüssten es besser als er, schreibt er ja auf seiner Homepage und in dem Thread über den neuen OS Motor mit Heckauslass

Dank deines Threads weiß ich nun, dass ich zu der Riege der Schlaumeier gehöre.

Ich habe ein Produkt kritisiert, du aber machst (auch in der zweiten Antwort) einen persönlichen Angriff auf meine Person. Ende der Fahnenstange, lass' mich in Ruhe.

Hi Uffe,

back to your questions.
I fly one of my MP-E´s with the components you asked for, but I have one exception. I use a 6s lipo pack. For 5s the Jazz 80 could be to hot after the flight or switch off during the flight.
With 6s it is running well.

Hi guy`s thanks for your answer , i buy this 3dmpe used from uk and it is like new in condition and i have to get some new things to it like new motor i will look on a actro and a new esc and 10s lipo

Hi,

Jan Henseleit today recommends an Actro 24 motor ( I guess 24-3 )

For the correct pinion, and any other question, You can ask Jan by mail oder phone.
Our member kingpin uses this motor too.

Two guys tried different motors and came to the conclusion, that a Strecker motor has the same power, but gives more fligth-time ( about 1 minute ). You can ask our member Suny23 about that, he works in Streckers company.

With a Jazz 55-10-32 motor controller, nearly everybody is satisfied. Seems to be the best.

With the Volz tail servo, I can fly backwards very fast, backwards loops and rolls, tornandos = funnels = twisters, tic tocs and so on.

I never had problems with this servo ( old and new software ! ) and a simple Robbe Futaba GY401.

Some people say, the Volz are shit - I don't know why, and I am satisfied with Jans recommendation.

All that was written in german, was offtopic, don't worry ( who's opinion is the right one, and so on )
