The people at Hobby-Media.biz posted these pics taken at the Japan 3D Jamboree of a Futaba 701 gyro. The gyro appears to be the next generation 611 unit, and this time Futaba is incorporating governor functionality into the unit. It will also be S-Bus compatible. I am sure we will hear more about this gyro in the coming months.

Zitat:
Looks like Futaba is stepping up to the plate with their newest gryo. Looks very promising and add a few new tricks to the mix.
GY701 sensor size is very small, about the same size as the GY520, the letters are illuminated, red, blue, purple light, as with the GY520, and looks very good.
Looks like this is going to be released by IRCHA and the price so far is about 28,000 yen. You can do the exchange rate depending on your countries currency.
Amplifier technology is setup to support Serial BUS system, so wiring can be simplified, GY701 built-in features allows setting of engine speed (Governor), speed can be adjusted from the remote control, and can be fine-tuned as well.
Gyros allows back plate senors or the normal magnet sensor but this has not been finalized yet as to which are going to be include or both.
LCD is very niceâ?¦..black background with white lettering and alot of cool powerup animations, etc.
