In August of 2015 I had the privilege of leading a team of good friends who came together to pull off one of the coolest RC gimmicks we've ever dreamed up! At the 2015 IRCHA One Competition we assisted Kyle Stacy in one of the coolest things ever done to a 12lb High Performance RC helicopter: launching it 30 feet into the air from rest by using a high powered air cannon.
This was an idea I had for years that I always wanted to see happen. After an incredible amount of work from the whole team and facing challenges along every step of the way, when it finally mattered we pulled it off! This video is for anyone out there who enjoys watching the journey of problem solving one step at a time. We never gave up even when it seemed like all of the odds were against us.
I managed to document every step of its creation and all of that footage has finally been put together to tell this incredible story. Sit back and enjoy!
